Danilo Petrucci, Pramac Racing’s number 9 dome, finished his Motogp world championship with 113 points, earning 10th place in the standings. The Terni native, class of ’90, fully experienced the season aboard his Ducati GP14.1 Petrux, from the podium at Silverstone to the end-of-season tensions in Valencia.
Danilo spoke to the microphones of OmniCorse.it about the position taken by the “grid” on the Rossi-Lorenzo-Marquez issue and about his direct experience in the race: “I believe that the facts and controversies concern only those directly involved. All the other riders attended the Safety Commission meeting on Friday in Valencia, which the very protagonists of the affair missed, and I must say that not much has changed in the relationship between the riders who were not involved. I think next year, at least for those who didn’t get into the issue, everything will be normal.”
To Lorenzo’s statements denouncing an all-Italian cookie, Petrucci responded as follows, “I read Lorenzo’s statements in which he said that we did the cookie and not them, and he was probably also referring to me helping Valentino. It’s not like I helped him that much, though, and then I said several times that I would have let Jorge pass as well. I didn’t feel like being a hero, keeping Valentino behind two laps and bothering him for nothing, because nothing would have changed, he would have passed me in the end anyway.”
