Monday will be a decisive day for Francesco Totti’s future.
President James Pallotta is in fact expected in Rome, where in addition to the stadium issue he will also deal with the case that has arisen around the Giallorossi captain.
According to ‘Il Tempo’ reports, Totti could extend his contract for one more year at much lower figures than the current ones (around one million net plus bonuses), but at the same time he would agree to officially announce his retirement at the end of the 2016/17 season.
Totti also did not take the field on Saturday in Empoli, with Spalletti explaining his decision as follows, “I would have put him on at the end to dribble better, but the team had struggled too much.”
