Pioli: "I thought I prepared it very well"

Stefano Pioli picks up on his Lazio after the draw in Turin: “Unfortunately, this is not the first time we have erred in our approach. We lost certainty and balance after the disadvantage. We disunited and stretched, favoring their restarts. It was difficult to find the right positions on the field. We could have equalized earlier and tried to win the game. We have to restart from the second half, we were not even lucky,” he explained to Sky.
Felipe Anderson did not particularly shine in the three-quarter: “He touched a lot of balls. From a trequartista you expect decisive play, he finished on goal and did a good job for the team. He just lacked precision. I don’t like it so much when he goes down, but our opponent led him to do that. Quality players need to be as close to the goal as possible. We are lacking in shooting or in the last pass, however we had a great dangerousness in the offensive phase.”
“Honestly, I thought I had prepared the match very well,” he confesses. “We got a positive result, but only partially. We needed to do well ahead of Sparta Prague. It would be very important to get to the quarters. Many are snubbing Sparta Prague, but it is an undefeated opponent like us.”
