Maurizio Sarri’s agent, Alessandro Pellegrini, speaks this way to Radio CRC about the future of the Napoli coach, whose contract expires in a few months.
“Sarri is not waiting for De Laurentiis to trigger the option. Also out of necessity, Maurizio refers this matter to me, but regardless, he absolutely does not care about the contract. Sarri’s maximum effort is to make a withdrawal from the ATM and do the shopping so those who imagine that Sarri can think about the days until April 30 make me laugh. The contract is a time of reflection in which a coach must confront himself and needs time and mental readiness. If his energies were needed to win the Scudetto, we would have already talked about it, but the energies are all about Palermo-Napoli. We will talk about it when the matches are over and every effort has been spent on achieving the result.”
“I have not said that Sarri will stay in Naples next year, the contract is not part of our priorities, we are not interested, we are busy doing other things. I have not confronted Sarri nor do I intend to do so, we are focused on a goal that is too much more important. The Palermo game will be decisive and we cannot think about anything else.”
