Russia, fight against doping: dozens of coaches fired

By now the doping scandal in the Russian Athletics Federation has gone around the world.
Some in recent months had even spoken of direct government involvement, but today in fact from Vice-Premier Vitaly Mutko came a decisive response to the supporters of this thesis.
Russia has in fact decided to take tough action against those responsible for the doping scandal: namely, firing them on the spot.
“We will not achieve anything until we prosecute people who encourage athletes to doping,” the former sports minister said in an interview with the RBK newspaper. “Currently, we have fired these people. We have dozens of technicians who have been investigated and have lost the right to work in athletics.”
