Of the negotiations in the last few days of the market, certainly among the most important is the passage of Cyril Thereau from Udinese to Fiorentina.
A move that took Friuli fans by surprise but not president Gianpaolo Pozzo, who has no honeyed words for the former Chievo man: “He had become impatient and above all no longer fit into coach Del Neri’s schemes.” To replace him, here’s Maxi Lopez: “With him we found what our coach wanted.”
Who arrived in Udine from Chievo in the 2014-15 season, Thereau totaled 114 appearances and 41 goals in the Friuli shirt. As soon as he arrived at Fiorentina, he immediately scored on his debut in the lily-headers’ goleada against Fabio Pecchia’s Verona.
