The first names are beginning to circulate in case tensions between Sebastian Vettel and Charles Leclerc escalate and the German comes to take the resounding decision to leave Ferrari a year earlier than the natural expiration of his contract.

The first is that of Daniel Ricciardo, an Australian who has done so well right in Red Bull, but who is bound by a contract with Renault. The second is that of Nico Hulkenberg, who has no agreement for 2020 and who is a driver of great reliability.

Ricciardo had been very close to Maranello in 2018 but then in the ‘Red Bull’ control room it was decided to give confidence to Charles Leclerc. Who has repaid it big time with results (above all the double win at Spa and Monza) able to overshadow the performance of his more experienced teammate, who unlocked anyway in Singapore before the Sochi controversy.
