F1, Toto Wolff didn’t like the show

Verstappen and Hamilton now equal points
At Jeddah came the third win in a row for Mercedes, with Lewis Hamilton catching up all the points behind Max Verstappen in the championship. The two will thus start as equals in Abu Dhabi, but first Toto Wolff wants to better understand what happened in Saudi Arabia.
These are the words of the Mercedes team principal to Sky: “We were faster than them today. We have to understand this, also because in Abu Dhabi it will be similar. Now it’s important to be tied on points in the drivers’ championship, especially because we didn’t think we could get there,” Wolff said. “I don’t remember almost anything about this race because of the incidents there. We thought we would win, then lose, then win again. However, there were a lot of circumstances that I didn’t like, starting with the second grid start.”
“Then before I make any comments, I want to understand the reasons behind Race Direction’s decisions. I have no idea what the FIA is going to do about the contact between Lewis and Max, they will have to review the telemetry data and I can’t comment on that,” the team principal continued.
“Max drives very well, as shown by the maneuver he made at the second start. But he also makes other moves that look like a repeat of Brazil. When you push another car out, you have to expect a penalty. I think it was too harsh.”
