Cremona starts again with Demis Cavina
Cremona has a new coach
Vanoli Basket Cremona has officially announced the agreement with Demis Cavina, who will be the head coach of the Lombardi next season. Cavina, 47, thus returns to coaching after his brief experience at Dinamo Sassari at the beginning of last season. The contract will tie Cavina to Vanoli for one season, with an option for the second.
“The choice of Cavina is the first piece of the ‘new’ Vanoli,” said Vanoli general manager Andrea Conti in an official note. “Demis is a prepared coach, with a long and excellent career behind him; he is a great worker who arrives with the desire to do well in an important square like Cremona.
“There is great motivation and determination on my part to start this new project,” said Cavina himself. “A project that is based on solid foundations, both human and professional. I already knew President Aldo Vanoli as well as Andrea Conti, and I thank them for the great trust placed in me. This is my 24th season as head coach but the desire and energy are those of the first day. With today we open a new book with blank pages on which to write together new important results for an ambitious and determined company like Vanoli Cremona, a company and a team that, as I have already had the opportunity to see, starts from the people.”
