Dolomiti Energia Trentino announced that it has signed a four-year agreement with Quinn Ellis, a talented outside player born April 1, 2003, who is a British national but will complete the path to Italian training next season.
A 6-foot-4, 84-inch tall, left-handed point guard with excellent athletic ability and outside shooting, Ellis will play next season on loan in Serie A2 just to complete the Italian lineup and to continue the exponential growth shown in recent seasons, which have projected him among the most interesting talents of the 2003 vintage at the national level.
Aquila Basket, in short, is looking to the future: while working to structure the roster that in 2022-23 will take part in Serie A and the 7DAYS EuroCup, the bianconero club has closed a prospect deal by adding a player with great potential who in his last season in Serie A2 with the jersey of Capo d’Orlando, the club that brought him very young to Italy, saw him travel at 7.2 points, 4.2 rebounds and 4.0 assists.
In 2019 Ellis represented the United Kingdom at the European B Under 16 Championships, finishing the event with 11.9 points, 5.1 rebounds and 2.9 assists in eight official appearances.
On the 2003 class, the coach of the HCL team Lele Molin said, “Quinn’s technical path with Dolomiti Energia will begin with a season on loan that can allow him to play a starring role and continue his development, but we are convinced that in the future he can be an important player for the Italian training group.”
