Valentino Rossi, teammate: “Here’s where he can grow”
Frederic Vervisch took stock of the first five months of working together with Valentino Rossi
Valentino Rossi’s teammate in the Audi WRT team, Frederic Vervisch, to the microphones of racesport.nl took stock of the first five months alongside the Doctor. “It’s really an honor. There were a lot of riders to choose from, and when they asked me, I thought it was really good. I was very curious what it would be like. Now we have done five months and actually everything is going very well.”
On the track work of No. 46: “He’s a really good guy. He is also very talented in the car and understands things quickly. I think he’s also very smart on four wheels despite his limited experience. Of course there will be ups and downs, but at Paul Ricard we showed with fifth place and the best Audi that we can be very fast even in an endurance race. Where Vale can do best is in qualifying; he has to get the most out of two laps. This is very important for a sprint race like here at Zandvoort, where it is difficult to overtake. But his race pace is very strong and I hope we can get a good result soon in the endurance race at Spa.”
