Andrea Dovizioso makes history. But Valentino Rossi is unreachable
Andrea Dovizioso in Assen will run his 245th race, becoming the second-most-attended rider in the premier class
Andrea Dovizioso in Assen will cross a historic milestone: the Yamaha rider from Forlì will run his 245th Grand Prix in MotoGp, equaling Alex Barros as the second centaur with the most appearances in the 500/MotoGp class.
Ahead of them all remains unattainable Valentino Rossi, who has 372 Grands Prix in the top MotoGP category. Dovizioso made his MotoGp debut in 2008, racing over the years for Honda, Yamaha and Ducati: after announcing his retirement in 2020, he returned to racing toward the end of the 2021 World Championship, riding for Razali’s Yamaha team.
