The former world No. 1 has won Wimbledon seven times
She tried but it did not go as she hoped. About a year after her last match, Serena Williams returned to the grass court at Wimbledon (a tournament she has won seven times) but was defeated, in the first round, by Harmony Tan (7-5, 1-6, 7-6).
“Today I gave everything I had. Maybe tomorrow I could have done more. Maybe with one more week of training, I would have done better but today I had this to give. Future? That’s a question I can’t answer. I don’t know. Who knows?” her vague answers reported by ESPN. The Queen, next September 26, will celebrate her 41st birthday.
