Wimbledon: nothing to do for Elisabetta Cocciaretto

Defeated in two sets with a double 6-4
Elisabetta Cocciaretto’s adventure in the 2022 edition of Wimbledon unfortunately ends in the second round.
After her success in the debut in the all-Italian derby with Martina Trevisan, the 21-year-old from Ancona was in fact defeated in two sets by Romanian Irina-Camelia Begu, who was able to win 6-4 6-4 in one hour and 21 minutes.
A good match for Elisabetta Cocciaretto, who, however, lacked in the key moments of the match and thus succumbed to her opponent. With her elimination there are no more Italian female tennis players competing at Wimbledon.
