Monza has announced the Sardinian defender: contract until 2027
Third strike for Monza, which, after Ranocchia and Cragno, cashes in from Cagliari defender Andrea Carboni, who signed a contract until 2027.
“Born in Sorgono, in the province of Nuoro, on February 4, 2001, at the age of 21 he already boasts 52 appearances in Serie A,” is the note from the Brianza club. Carboni is a product of the youth sector of Cagliari, which discovered him when he was 10 years old. After nine years in the Rossoblù youth academy, he signed his first professional contract on January 2, 2020. Brilliant performances with the Primavera led him to be called up to the first team at the end of the 2019-20 season.”
“On June 23, he made his Serie A debut at the age of 19 against Spal, subbing in the last minutes, and four days later he played his first match as a starter, against Torino. In the 2020-21 season he joined the first team permanently, collecting 15 league appearances. Growth continued until last season, in which 30 matches were played in Serie A. On September 3, 2021, he makes his debut in the Under-21 team, joining the group that won qualification for the European Championship last June.”
