Paolo Bertolucci on Jannik Sinner: “Everything will be different soon.”
“Jannik Sinner’s victory over Carlos Alcaraz cannot be called a surprise.”
The dawn of a champion: Paolo Bertolucci at the microphones of Adnkronos commented on Jannik Sinner’s victory in the Atp 250 in Umag, hinting that it is just the prelude to a career that promises to be stellar. “We’ve been saying for two years now that he has great possibilities, so I wouldn’t call his success against Alcaraz a surprise. Jannik still has to complete himself from a physical point of view and he should put a couple of variations in his game, experience will do the rest,” the words of the former Italian tennis player.
According to Bertolucci, the quantum leap is close: “He has played less than 200 matches in the pros and is already in the Top-10. As soon as he doubles his matches played, it will be a completely different story. Sinner is a cool guy and I’m sure he will be able to handle the pressure.”
