Everything changes for Valentino Rossi ahead of next GT championships season, WRT team parting ways with Audi

Twists and turns for Valentino Rossi’s future: his WRT team with which he races in the GT3 championships has announced that it will part ways with Audi at the end of 2022. The announcement came just hours after the 24 Hours of Spa: the divorce comes after 13 years of collaboration and could also cast doubt on the future choices of the driver from Pesaro, who is racing this year’s GT World Challenge Europe with the Belgian team.

“The partnership between Team WRT and Audi Sport in GT3 racing will end after the 2022 season. The Belgian team made the announcement today, just hours after the TotalEnergies 24 Hours of Spa. For the WRT team, this is a historic and exciting moment, as it has been racing Audi GT3 cars since its inception in 2010. The 13-season partnership has been one of the most successful in motorsports history, yielding 30 titles to date in the major European series for GT3 cars.”
