Chelsea out of control: 63 million euros for Marc Cucurella
Second most expensive Spaniard in Premier League history
As reported by Sky Sports UK, Chelsea has struck a deal with Brighton to acquire Cucurella. The Spanish side moves to the Blues for a monster sum, amounting to about 63 million euros.
Cucurella seemed destined to play at Manchester City, in the employ of coach Guardiola but Chelsea, in less than 24 hours, made the decisive lunge and secured the 24-year-old Spaniard (with Dumfries now seemingly having a better chance of staying at Inter Milan). Cucurella is the second most expensive Spaniard in Premier League transfer history. Only Kepa (80 million euros), has cost more.
