MotoGP, Fabio Quartararo points to Formula 1: his confession
The shift from two wheels to four wheels is not just a hypothesis.
Fabio Quartararo is the leader of the MotoGP standings, and also the reigning world champion. But he does not rule out soon boarding a single-seater that has itself racked up titles in recent years: the Mercedes of Formula 1.
“There is nothing planned yet, but it is something we are working on and talking about,” explained the French centaur about a possible test behind the wheel of the Mercedes. “I would love to, because I have tried the simulator and climbed inside the car. I still lack the experience of trying it out.”
Quartararo, by the way, during the long MotoGP break took the opportunity to get even closer to the Mercedes world. “I spent a wonderful day in the company of Lewis Hamilton,” he recounted, “We were in the surf, we had company, and I had a lot of fun. But we didn’t talk about racing.” Relations, however, definitely seem to be already on track.
