MotoGp, Fabio Quartararo still has not gone down
Best time in the second free practice
Fabio Quartararo was the fastest rider in the second free practice of the British GP. He will have to serve a long lap penalty in the Silverstone race, a penalty that still bothers him.
At the microphones of Sky Sports after the free practice he returned to the penalty: “So many riders have agreed with me, but still it is important to find a balance in the imposition of penalties – so Quartararo -. Hopefully they have understood that they have made a mistake with this penalty, because it is from the beginning of the year that there is an imbalance in the assessments. If everything stays like this, then it is useless.”
The French Yamaha rider then spoke about his feelings in free practice: “The day ended well. But this morning I struggled a lot for the first time. At the beginning I didn’t know where to brake and take the corners,” Quartararo added. In FP2, however, it was different with the medium tire in front.
Quartararo then tested the long lap penalty ahead of Sunday: “It won’t be difficult, but my time will be affected. I tried it a lot to get used to doing it well, without forcing my hand.”
