Complicated draw for Camila Giorgi at the WTA 1000 tournament in Toronto: the Azzurra lands in Canada as the title holder, won last season with a victory in the final against Pliskova.
The Macerata tennis player will face in the first round against Emma Raducanu, number nine in the seeding, who is already broken in on concrete (she exited in the quarterfinals at the Citi Open on Saturday). The other Italian player directly admitted to the main draw, Martina Trevisan, will instead face Brazil’s Beatriz Haddad Maia.
