Ducati, Enea Bastianini expresses fear for Silverstone race
Hard tire grip worries young driver
After two retirements, a tenth and an eleventh place, Enea Bastianini is aiming to return among the best in the MotoGp Grand Prix of Great Britain, and his eighth place finish in qualifying (just over three tenths from Johann Zarco’s pole position) puts a smile on the young Gresini Racing team rider’s face.
“We struggled this morning, both in terms of pace and time attack,” Bastianini told the team’s official channels. We came close, but we didn’t get through Q2…In the afternoon we made a good step at all levels and we found speed again.”
Bastianini’s concern is essentially related to the grip of the tires in the race: “With each session we recover confidence on the bike and right now with the soft tire I’m doing very well – he said -. With the harder tires I struggle more and it will be an important key the right choice.”
