Fear for Gino Rea: in hospital by helicopter after crash at Suzuka
British centaur Gino Rea was taking part in the Suzuka 8 Hours when he was the victim of a bad fall
Great fear for British centaur Gino Rea, who was the victim of a bad crash during the last free practice session of the Suzuka 8 Hours.
Rea fell at the Triangle chicane, which became infamous in 2003 after Daijiro Kato’s fatal crash: left unconscious on the ground, he was immediately rescued and transported by helicopter to the hospital.
Nothing leaks about his health condition at the moment, there is great apprehension in the paddock. Gino Rea, an experienced rider born in 1989, has participated for years in World Supersport and competed for a three-year period in Moto2 (2012-2014).
