Kwam Cheatham Jr. explains why he chose Pesaro
Weight reinforcement for the Marches.
Kwam Cheatham Jr. is a new player for VL Pesaro. Announcing the signing of the 1995-born American, the latest reinforcement at coach Jasmin Repesa’s disposal, was the Marches club itself on Sunday.
Coming back from his experience in the Liga ACB with the Fuenlabrada’s jersey (averages of 10.8 points and 4.8 rebounds, in addition to 40.5% from three), it was the California native himself who explained his choice to wear the red and white: “The reasons are many,” he told the club’s official channels, “I have heard very good things about the club’s structure, the coach and the great professionalism of this club. My wife has told me so many times about how wonderful Italy is and the high level of Italian basketball. I am excited to arrive in Pesaro and start working with my teammates.”
Describing himself, Cheatham Jr added, “I am a great three-point shooter and I like to defend. I chose number 55, since it is the number I have worn for the past three seasons and also the number worn by my wife when she played; she is Italian-American, played for three years in Italy and also wore the Italian national team’s jersey.”
