F1 Ferrari, message to Mattia Binotto: “He does a job not his own”
Former Ferrari sports director Cesare Fiorio: “Binotto must make Ferrari regain its early-season polish.”
Former Ferrari sporting director Cesare Fiorio, in an interview with Corriere della Sera, spoke about the Cavallino’s difficult moment after the latest setbacks in the F1 World Championship and errors in strategy: “Mattia Binotto is an excellent technician who has had to learn a job that is not his own.”
“Now he has to make Ferrari regain the polish of the beginning of the season after mistakes and failures,” Fiorio continued, “But for me the car is the best in the championship.
Fiorio also had his say on the golden era of Ferrari and Schumacher: “Todt’s real intuition was to hire Benetton’s winning staff. Michael did not have to challenge super-phenomena and lost World Championships to normal opponents. When a very strong one came along, namely Alonso, the Dream Team melted away.”
