Details of Roma’s new away jersey

After a historic season, the new all-white jersey is inspired by Rome’s neoclassical period, with the neutral tones of the city’s famous architecture serving as the backdrop for the design.

The “Lupetto,” the symbol of AS Roma, appears in a delicate marbled graphic effect, integrated into the front of the jersey. As with the Home jersey, the inscription “Sons of Roma” is positioned on the back of the collar, as a tribute to the bond between the city, the team that bears its name and those who wear the jersey. In addition, subtle red and yellow trim has been added to the collar, sleeves, shorts and socks, in homage to the iconic colors of the Giallorossi team.

Elisa Bartoli, the captain of the AS Roma women’s team, said, “I’m a big fan of the jersey, all the special details really stand out. The design is a constant reminder of our city and its importance to this football club.”

New Balance Football General Manager Kenny McCallum said, “Rome and all of its beauty is the heartbeat of this design. The city’s architecture provides an incredible canvas for a concept that feels intrinsically linked to the traditional language of the club and its fans.”

The goalkeeper’s kit is presented in black and has been developed in line with the players’ jerseys.

New Balance used cutting-edge design technology on all 22/23 jerseys to ensure superior performance. Developed using innovative NB Dry technology to help keep players cool and dry from the first until the final whistle.
This latest release is part of New Balance’s “Our World, Our Roma” campaign for the upcoming season. The creative is led by international photographer Justin Bettman, who worked alongside the brand to help emphasize the link between the new design, the club and its relationship with the city.
