Escalante to Cremonese
Cremonese has picked up Gonzalo Escalante on loan from Lazio.
Born in Bella Vista (Argentina) on March 27, 1993, a midfielder, Escalante grew up in Boca Juniors, an Argentine club with which he played 11 games in the senior formation. His first move to Italy was in the 2014/15 season when he made his Serie B debut with Catania (26 appearances, 1 goal). At the end of that championship Escalante was sold to Eibar, Spain, where he remained until 2020, collecting 164 appearances and 10 goals in La Liga. In 2020/21 came his debut with the Lazio shirt (24 appearances in A and 4 in the Champions League); in the last season from the biancoceleste club he went on loan to Alaves, again in La Liga, where he took the field 17 times (5 goals).
