MotoGp, Honda in chaos: fury Espargaró and Bradl. Marc Marquez to the rescue
MotoGp: Marc Marquez will return to Austria as an adviser, but in the Honda pits the situation is exploding
An incandescent atmosphere at Honda after yet another nightmarish Sunday for the Japanese stable at Silverstone. The HRC team is in such an emergency that Marc Marquez is expected to return to Austria as an adviser to try to lend a hand and help his colleagues.
Pol Espargaró, 14th in Britain, is harsh: “What worries me is that Honda is not expressing themselves, that there is no reaction. They don’t seem concerned, I don’t know what to think. Five years ago it seemed unthinkable that European brands would gradually get rid of Japanese brands, it was unpredictable. I don’t know if what is happening will come to Japan, we are not getting the material we need to improve,” he told Motorsport.
Even harsher words from Stefan Bradl, Marquez’s replacement and Honda tester: “I don’t waste my head and energy on this bike. We have obvious problems being fast with this . Now it’s time to focus on the 2023 bike. The next races are not as important as finding the right solutions for next year and being competitive. Marc Marquez? We are already exchanging information with Marc, he is involved in the project. Today communication is so easy that it could not be otherwise. It is clear that he will be better when he gets back on the bike.”
