Jaron Johnson in Varese

Pallacanestro Varese is pleased to announce that it has reached an agreement with Jaron Johnson, an American player class of ’92 who will wear the Openjobmetis jersey next year. Johnson is a complete and reliable player both on offense, where he is able to find the basket in different ways, and on defense, where he makes himself useful thanks to his height and dynamism. This is the first Italian experience for him; last year he was in Russia where he played for Saratov and UNICS Kazan.

Michael Arcieri, General Manager Pallacanestro Varese: “Our optimism for next season continues to grow with the arrival of Jaron Johnson. Jaron is a versatile scorer whose dynamism with the ball in both transitions and in the middle of the court is ideal for our style of play. His height and athleticism allow him to play a variety of roles seamlessly and impact the game in many ways. We are happy that he is an Red and White player and welcome him and his family with the greatest enthusiasm.”
