Friendly time for the Azzurri, fresh from their seven-day training camp in Pinzolo.

“France is among the three strongest teams in the world. It’s a tough challenge that will put us up against a thick obstacle. In the growth of this team, as in life, knowing how to face obstacles is important.” These are the words of CT Gianmarco Pozzecco on the friendly match between Italy and France, scheduled at the Unipol Arena in Casalecchio di Reno (Bologna), tomorrow, August 12, at 8:30 p.m. (live on Sky Sport Arena).

The press conference to present the first of the four friendly matches of the Azzurri summer was held in the historic Salaborsa Library in Bologna, attended not only by coach Pozzecco but also by Azzurri captain Luigi Datome and Master Group Sport general manager Antonio Santa Maria.
The event is part of the program of sporting events, supported by the Emilia-Romagna Region, for the enhancement of the territory and tourist attractiveness.

“It will not be easy to play against the transalpines,” continued the Italbasket CT, “and perhaps we are not yet at the level of coach Collet’s team. But the ability to know how to win and how to lose is fundamental to be able to face an important event, such as the European Championship we are preparing. However, it will be challenging for the boys to face a team composed of so many champions and so many NBA players. And I hope to have, as I believe, the support of the public.”
