Carlos Alcaraz in pain after Jannik Sinner and Lorenzo Musetti: his words
Carlos Alcaraz wants to find himself in Cincinnati: “Everyone is now pushing hard against me.”
After the two consecutive finals lost to Lorenzo Musetti and Jannik Sinner and the immediate knockout in Montreal, Carlos Alcaraz is looking to find his way back to Cincinnati. The Spaniard admitted that now the opponents against him are more motivated and winning is more difficult: “Right now every match is a challenge for me, a challenge to keep the same level as always. I’m number four in the world, one of the favorites to win this tournament, so it can be a little difficult to handle all this pressure.”
The Iberian must be able to get used to the pressure of being one of the best on the planet: “I understood what happened in Montreal: I am not to handle the pressure of being one of the favorites for the title or having a certain ranking. I understood, however, that I have to use that pressure in my favor: I know that I am facing the best in the world and that I have to give my best.”
“I think all the players push hard against me. I realize that if they don’t play very aggressively or at a high level I will be a very difficult opponent for them, so I take that as a compliment.”
