Stefano Domenicali defends the new era in F1
Stefano Domenicali’s words
Stefano Domenicali, president and CEO of Formula 1, in an interview with Sport Bild defended his choices on the subject of racing outside Europe, with the farewell to Spa getting closer and closer.
“Money is important everywhere, also for us,” the former Ferrari team principal admitted, “but we don’t just look; the whole package has to be right. If we only looked at the bank account, the race calendar would definitely be different. What is certain is that I am not selling the soul of Formula 1. This is part of normal change, and we are opening up to the whole world. Moreover, we provide the spotlight in which the hosts want to present themselves well. Early successes have already been achieved. In Saudi Arabia, women have been allowed to drive for four years.”
