MotoGp Austria: Pecco Bagnaia like Casey Stoner, beat Quartararo again
Ducati centaur Pecco Bagnaia wins third consecutive race at Red Bull Ring, Quartararo finishes second and limits damage
Pecco Bagnaia scores his third consecutive MotoGp victory: after Assen and Silverstone, the Ducati centaur also won the Austrian Grand Prix, finishing first at the Red Bull Ring ahead of World Championship leader Fabio Quartararo and the other Ducati rider Jack Miller.
The Piedmontese rider goes into the breakaway after half the race and keeps the first place until the end: for him it is tris (only Stoner in 2007 and 2008 had succeeded with Ducati), and now in the overall standings he is 44 points behind a great Quartararo, able to remount all the Ducatis from sixth place and close in the place of honor, limiting the damage.
A splendid Luca Marini closes at the foot of the podium, then Zarco, Aleix Espargarò and Binder. Enea Bastianini out in the early laps for a tire problem, while Spaniard Jorge Martin, after fighting for the podium throughout the race, goes long in the final and finishes only ninth.
