Cantù, Sacchetti introduces Rogic and Hunt: “Strongly wanted.”
Acqua San Bernardo introduced its two new foreign players, Rogic and Hunt, at a press conference.
Acqua San Bernardo Cantù presented in a press conference the two new players Roko Rogic and Dario Hunt, two experienced elements wanted by Meo Sacchetti. Introducing them coach Meo Sacchetti: “We signed two players we strongly wanted. The signing of Roko, which arrived without any loss of time, is concrete proof of that. We think Rogic can be the ideal profile to put together all the other pieces of the team; that of the point guard is a very important role indeed. As for Dario, we finish our roster great with him, getting a long man that we really needed. We wanted Hunt and we got him, so I really thank Alessandro Santoro for that. I think the signing of Dario is instrumental in giving the team more physicality, just what we needed. Now it will be up to us to enhance the qualities of these two players.”
Then Roko Rogic’s first words in biancoblù: “I’m finally coming back to play in Italy, it was a big goal of mine and I’m glad I achieved it. The experience in the national team forged me and made me happy, however, I am excited to have already joined my new teammates to start this new experience. I am no longer very young but, in Cantù, I hope to find stability and the multi-year contract, in this sense, can help; rarely in my career have I signed a two-year contract, so, this is certainly a positive thing for me.”
Finally, Hunt’s first statement as a Cantù player: “I accepted this challenge because I have great esteem for the coach and the general manager; I am thrilled to be able to be coached by Sacchetti and happy, at the same time, to find again Santoro with whom I had shared a good experience in Brescia. In addition, I have taken some information in the environment and everyone has spoken very well of this club. I know that there are a lot of expectations on us, but this doesn’t scare me, on the contrary, I hope to help the team right away with all my physicality and energy.”
The closing entrusted again to Sacchetti: “We have ten very good players and being able to play them all will not be easy at all. For this reason, each of them must realize that, in some games, it may happen that someone plays little and someone else, instead, a little more. Let’s forget about our ego, what matters most is the collective, not the individual,” concluded the Acqua S.Bernardo head coach.
