Puscas is one step away from Genoa

Genoa is very active in the market. After Venezia midfielder Mattia Aramu, who is expected in town on Wednesday, August 24, for medical examinations, the Ligurian club is ready to place another big hit in the offensive department. According to Sky reports, in fact, the Grifone has reached an agreement with Reading, a club that plays in the English second division, for Romanian striker George Puscas, who would arrive on a loan deal with mandatory redemption.

For the 96-year-old bomber, this would be yet another chapter in Italy, where he grew up in the youth ranks of Inter Milan and played his last season in Pisa, on loan from Reading, netting 8 goals. Together with Massimo Coda, coach Blessin will thus be able to count on one of the strongest pairs in the Serie Cadetta.

Like Serie A, the start of Serie B is set for the weekend of August 12-14, a rather early start due to the unprecedented “winter” World Cup that will be staged in Qatar from November 21 to December 18, 2022. However, if during this period the Serie A will stop, it will not be the same for the Serie Cadetta, which will continue on a regular basis, forcing clubs with players called up for the World Cup to have to forgo it for a few days.
