Afena-Gyan is one step away from Cremonese: green light for arrival of former granata player

Having cashed in on the double shingles of Georginio Wijnaldum and Nicolò Zaniolo’s suspensions – the former will be out for four months, the latter for three weeks – José Mourinho, who was already looking forward to the arrival of Andrea Belotti, ‘goaded’ the club in the press conference following the victorious match with Cremonese. The need for action in the market became increasingly pressing, and the Giallorossi management immediately responded with facts.

On Tuesday, in fact, giant steps were made in the negotiation that will bring Felix Afena-Gyan to wear precisely the jersey of the grigiorossi faced at the Olimpico on Monday afternoon. The Ghanaian born in 2003 will move to Cremona on a permanent basis: the Giallorossi club will collect something like 7 million euros from the operation – 5 fixed part plus 2 easily achievable bonuses-. All that would be missing is the officialdom to be able to call the deal closed.

Tiago Pinto now has the green light from the club to sign Andrea Belotti, who has been gravitating in Roma’s orbit for several weeks now: the Special One has been satisfied once again.
