Torino’s captain Niccolò De Vico spoke at a Media Day organized at Reale Mutua’s Cral ahead of the start of the season, which sees the Piedmontese team vying for promotion to the top division.

“Personalities and flaws come out when things are not going so well: after a week of work, I am very happy with all our teammates who are putting so much passion and care about improving every day. They were also chosen because they have certain characteristics and we think they were going to do well during the season,” said the 1994-class winger, without giving too much away.

Then De Vico emphasized what his role will be during the season: “I will always have to be an example for the other teammates, not making mistakes and pushing in the right direction in the locker room and training on the court.”

Finally, a warning toward the start of the championship: “Are we ready? Very much so, we are from the first meeting and we are looking forward to the start of the season.”
