Colpani not enough, third defeat for Monza

The third day of the 2022/23 Serie A championship opens with Udinese’s external success over Monza: 2-1 is the final result in favor of the Friulians, who thus achieve their first success in this championship, while Monza remains at zero after the first 270′ in Serie A in its history.

At the U-Power Stadium, the hosts were not satisfied with the goal of the lead signed by Andrea Colpani, in the 32nd minute. The lead, in fact, lasted less than four minutes because in the 36th minute Beto scored his first goal of the season past Di Gregorio.

In the second half, the match remained balanced and seemed to be heading toward a solomonic draw: however, the Brianzos did not reckon with Destiny Udogie, who in the 78th minute came alone in front of the opponent’s goalkeeper and pierced him for the goal that, in fact, was worth three points.

The result did not change again until the triple whistle: Udinese thus climbs to 4 in the standings, while Monza still awaits its first point in Serie A.
