Formula 1 is ruthless with Charles Leclerc
Formula 1 is merciless with Charles Leclerc: “Flunked”
Charles Leclerc has been listed among the failures of the Belgian Grand Prix. As stated on the Formula 1 website, “Starting from 15th place due to a penalty, he worked his way up to ninth place. He was then forced into an early pit stop because a tear in his visor became lodged in the brake line.”
“That tear caused a sensor failure, as confirmed by Ferrari boss Mattia Binotto, which led to Leclerc exceeding the speed limit in the pit lane which resulted in a five-second penalty. This led him to cross the finish line in fifth place but finish the race in sixth. In the last nine Grand Prix Leclerc has achieved just one podium finish.”
Thumbs down also for McLaren, Haas, Valtteri Bottas and Lewis Hamilton. Instead, Pierre Gasly, Sebastian Vettel, Alpine, Red Bull and Max Verstappen were promoted.
