Simone Fontecchio’s response to Ettore Messina is not long in coming
Fontecchio’s response
The new Utah Jazz player, who will be involved with the Italian national team at the Eurobasket starting Sept. 2, responded to Ettore Messina, who recently made mea culpa claiming that he did not give him enough space when he played for Olimpia Milano.
“I’m not sending anyone to hell. I don’t have stones to remove from my shoes, I am at peace and I have pride in what I have done. The difficulties I encountered helped me to be who I am,” the former Alba Berlin player said, as reported by La Repubblica.
“I was very young, I needed to mature, and I decided to do it elsewhere. In the end, given my path, the choice was right. When I arrived at Olimpia there was someone who believed in me: Jasmin Repesa. In my first year in Milan I had space, then he left and everything changed. But maybe I was too young,” Fontecchio continued, with no hard feelings.
