Max Verstappen is not worried by his eighth-place finish in the second free practice in his Dutch Grand Prix.
The gearbox problem in the first session certainly affected his day.
“We are missing a shift basically. With the hard tires the grip was minimal, and so not having a run on soft tires in PL1 meant we couldn’t refine the balance ahead of PL2, where all we could do was see what the problems were without being able to intervene effectively. Looking at the gap in lap time I am not surprised at all because I know where and how we can improve, we will do that in the evening ahead of PL3 where we hope to be more competitive.”
