Mooney VR46, Marco Bezzecchi and Luca Marini between pride and awareness
Excellent qualifying result charges the two drivers of the team founded by Valentino Rossi
Enthusiasm is sky-high in the Mooney VR46 house after the qualifying session of the San Marino and Riviera di Rimini Grand Prix of the MotoGp class: at the Misano circuit, in fact, Marco Bezzecchi achieved an unexpected fourth best time in the final session, while Luca Marini earned the seventh box on the grid.
“I’m very happy, especially because we struggled a lot in FP3 this morning,” ‘Bez’ told the team’s official channels. We were forced into Q1, I was not happy, but in hindsight, it was not a disadvantage. I got a good feeling driving and closed strong in qualifying. I’m not perfect, there are a couple of points where I can improve for the race-I trust my guys, I know they know what to do to get me a little bit more.”
“It was not an easy Saturday, this morning we had several problems, then we managed to straighten out the day for qualifying – added Valentino Rossi’s brother -. A session with complicated weather, but we managed to be very fast especially in Q1 in the rain. Even in FP4 the pace was not bad considering I was on track with a very used rear tire, but I would like to be able to make the bike run better in some parts of the track. I have not yet chosen the tire for the race, the weather tomorrow will be crucial.”
