Champions League, Milan: Stefano Pioli does not trust Salzburg
Technician wants no drop in concentration after derby emotions
Milan is preparing to return to the prestigious stage of the Champions League: it will do so on Tuesday night at 9 p.m. at the home of Red Bull Salzburg, a team that has won the Austrian league uninterruptedly since 2014 and has performed well in Europe in recent seasons.
This is precisely why Stefano Pioli does not want to underestimate his opponents at all and urges his team to keep their concentration high after the derby victory: “We filed away the victory against Inter the morning after,” Pioli said in the press conference. “This is a different match, Champions is a different thing. We face a complicated opponent, last year in the Champions League they never lost at home.”
“We have to show that the experience we had last year has served us well and that we have grown. We have to think only about tomorrow’s match, starting with a positive result would be important,” the Rossoneri coach further explained.
