Osimhen risks missing Champions League debut
With two days to go before the all-important Champions League home opener against Liverpool, Napoli is facing an injury to Victor Osimhen.
The Nigerian striker came off early in the final minutes of Lazio-Napoli and is now at risk for Wednesday’s Sept. 7 match against Jurgen Klopp’s Reds.
“Osimhen underwent personalized work following an injury suffered in the final minutes of Lazio-Napoli,” reads the statement released by the Neapolitan club.
In case of the former Lille man’s absence, Luciano Spalletti could launch Cholito Simeone: it would be the Champions League debut for Diego’s son.
