Premier League stops for mourning

No Premier League over the weekend in England. The decision was announced through the official channels of England’s top league, following the passing of Queen Elizabeth II of England.

“At a meeting this morning, Premier League clubs offered their tributes to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. To honor her extraordinary life and contribution to the nation, and of course as a mark of respect, this weekend’s Premier League matches, including Monday night’s, have been postponed. Further updates regarding the schedule during the period of mourning will be given in due course,” reads the statement released by the Premier League.

Challenges in the minor leagues have also been postponed: from the Championship to League Two.
