Mardy Fish stays home

Mardy Fish, captain of the United States, will not be able to be in Glasgow, Scotland, where his boys will play in the Davis Cup: he tested positive for Covid.

His place, for the occasion, will be taken by Bob Bryan, one of the greatest doubles players in history, part of a spectacular pair along with his twin brother Mike, as well as the U.S. Davis Cup team that won the salad bowl in 2007, for the 32nd time in its history.

In Group D of the preliminaries, the Americans will take on Great Britain, Kazakhstan and the Netherlands: Taylor Fritz, Frances Tiafoe, Tommy Paul, Jack Sock and Rajeev Ram the call-ups.
