European Championships, Gianmarco Pozzecco sends message to France

Italy will face France on Wednesday, Sept. 14
After eliminating strong Serbia with a legendary performance, Italy is already focused on its next challenge. On Wednesday it will face France for a place in the semifinals of the European Basketball Championships being held in Berlin.
Coach Pozzecco sends a clear message to the French: “We have a big heart, a little bit of madness and a lot of compactness. Maybe we are the team no one wants to face.” France, on paper, is absolutely favored but, as the game with Serbia taught, the Azzurri have shown they can play with anyone. Clearly, another perfect match will be needed.
