In the Champions League there was not only Plzen-Inter at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday. And Sporting-Tottenham also ended 2-0, the difference being that it was the home team that won and not the away team.
Antonio Conte, former coach of the Nerazzurri and now at Tottenham, was stunned as his team conceded both goals starting in the 90th minute.
It was newcomer Paulinho who scored the goal for the green-and-white’s lead, and it was another newcomer, Arthur Gomes, who dealt the coup de grace to the Londoners three minutes later. Sporting now scored full points: in the opener it had won at home to Eintracht Frankfurt.
