Filippo Volandri bluntly on Matteo Berrettini and Jannik Sinner

After the 2-1 infliction on Argentina in the second ‘tie’ of Group A of the 2022 Davis Cup Finals, the non-playing captain of the Azzurri, Filippo Volandri, took stock of the challenges involving Matteo Berrettini, Jannik Sinner, and the doubles team composed of Simone Bolelli and Fabio Fognini at the microphones of ‘Rai Sport.

The praise is for winners and losers of the day, but in particular it is to Berrettini and Sinner that the strongest one comes: “Matteo played a super match today, and Jannik also did something important. He came out of a complicated situation, where Cerundolo was putting him in trouble, and managed to win despite his opponent’s great game.”
