Penultimate round of GT World Challenge Europe unfortunate for Valentino Rossi

Skip the podium goal again for Valentino Rossi: The Tavullia driver, at the wheel of the WRT team’s Audi, was forced to retire in the second sprint race in Valencia, the penultimate round of GT World Challenge Europe for this season.

The Doctor, who got into the car mid-race after teammate Frederic Vervisch had finished in 12th position, was forced to retire after only a few laps, probably due to mechanical problems. For Valentino it is the second retirement in GTWC after the one in race 1 at Misano.

The race, characterized by the wet track, was won by the Charles Weerts/Dries Vanthoor duo of the Audi WRT team.
